DNVO-2
DNVO-2の中心となるのは、2種類の異なる波形を持つVCOを複雑に絡ませたメインVCOです。
さらにWARPスイッチによって、その絡み方自体が変化し、ひとつのつまみを動かすだけでも音の状態が大きく変わります。
細かな設定を積み重ねるというより、シンプルな操作から複雑な変化が得られる構成になっています。
本機にはエンベロープジェネレーターを搭載しています。
3系統のトリガー速度をミックスした不規則なトリガーを送ることも、REPEATによる一定周期のトリガーを送ることもでき、そのトリガーをエンベーロープジェネレーターが揺れの周期として受け取り揺れの立ち上がり時間と減衰時間を設定してCVとしてVCOに加えることで、単純な繰り返しとは異なる変化を作り出します。
また、周波数の異なる3つのサブオシレーターを内蔵しています。
それぞれのかかり方は細かく調整されており、3つのレベルを上下させることで、音の厚みや揺らぎ、質感が大きく変化します。
設定によって、緩やかなうねりから複雑な干渉まで幅広い変化が得られます。
ノイズジェネレーターも搭載しており、このノイズをVCOに送ることで、ざらつきや不安定さ、輪郭の崩れを加えることができます。
出力段にはHI / MID / LOの3バンドフィルターを備えています。
それぞれがディストーション回路と連動しており、単なる帯域調整ではなく、特定の帯域を強く歪ませながら強調する構成になっています。
音を整えるためのフィルターというより、音の性格を大きく変化させるための回路として機能します。
DNVO-2は、複数の要素が内部で複雑に結びつきながらも、操作自体はできるだけシンプルに保たれています。
少ない操作でも大きな変化が得られ、密度の高い音の動きを作ることができるサウンドジェネレーターです。

DNVO-2
At the core of the DNVO-2 is a main VCO built from a complex interaction between two VCOs with different waveforms.
The WARP switch further changes the way these elements interact, allowing the sound to shift significantly even with the movement of a single knob.
Rather than requiring the buildup of detailed settings, the structure is designed to produce complex changes through simple operation.
The unit is equipped with an envelope generator.
It can receive either irregular triggers made by mixing three different trigger rates, or a regular periodic trigger generated by REPEAT. The envelope generator takes these triggers as the cycle of modulation, shapes the rise and decay times of that movement, and sends it as CV to the VCO, creating changes that differ from simple repetition.
It also contains three sub oscillators with different frequencies.
The way each of them is applied has been adjusted in detail, and changing the three levels significantly alters the thickness, movement, and texture of the sound.
Depending on the setting, it can produce a wide range of variations, from gentle movement to complex interference.
A noise generator is also included, and this noise can be sent to the VCO to add roughness, instability, and a partial breakdown of the sound’s outline.
The output stage includes a three-band filter section with HI / MID / LO.
Each band works in conjunction with a distortion circuit, so rather than functioning as simple tone control, it is designed to strongly emphasize specific frequency ranges while heavily distorting them.
It functions less as a filter for shaping the sound in a conventional way, and more as a circuit for drastically changing its character.
While multiple elements are intricately connected internally, the controls of the DNVO-2 are kept as simple as possible.
Even with a small number of operations, it can produce large changes and generate dense, active sound movement.
Powered by a 9V DC center-negative adapter or a 9V battery. Adapter and battery not included.
